A year after their success in the Discovery International Song Contest in Bulgaria, Trilogy recently took part in the celebrated concert, Lovers on Ice in Sicily.

The magical evening, presented by Alessandro de Leonardis and Denny Mendez, Miss Italia 1996, took place at the Palaghiaccio Città di Catania. The event’s concept is to transmit the emotions of both music and lyrics through the beauty of ice skating. European champions Aljona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy took part along with other renowned athletes from Italy, Romania, the Czech Republic, France and Germany.

The organisers wished to include Malta in the list of international singers. From the list of recent Maltese songs, the choice fell on Trilogy’s Starlight, composed by Paul Abela and penned by

Joe Julian Farrugia.

The local participation in this international event was made possible with the help of Amabile Zammit and Dr Anton Tabone of Renaissance Productions Ltd.
