The Mellieha Sports Club has renewed its sponsorship with the Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa for football season 2007/2008. This agreement was reached between Mellieha Sports Club President, Alfred Vella Borg and Treasurer Peter Calleya and Maritim Antonine Hotel & Spa Managing Director, Adrian Buttigieg, and General Manager, Peter Rieks.

As part of the celebrations for being promoted to play First Division football next season, Alfred Vella Borg presented a commemorative framed photo of the successful Mellieha football team to Adrian Buttigieg.

Former player Attila Szonye was purposely brought over from Hungary as part of the promotion celebrations.
