Pilgrims going to Rome for the canonisation ceremony of Blessed Gorg Preca can obtain the canonisation cap, scarf and badge from the Postulation Office in Piazza Vidoni, next to San Andrea della Valle Church. The opening hours of the office are 9am to 1pm and 4 to 7.30pm on 31 May and 1 and 2 June (till 6pm on 2 June).
The booklet for the liturgical services is available free of charge from the office of the postulation. The booklet for the canonisation ceremony will be available free of charge at St Peter’s Square on the day of the ceremony.
The following are the celebrations being held in Rome:
Saturday, 2 June – Eve of the Canonisation: Reconciliation Ministry at the Church of St. Andrea della Valle (Corso Vittorio Emanuele) from 9am to noon – confessions in English, Italian and Maltese. Prayer Vigil at the Basilica of Saint Mary Major from 7 to 9 pm.
Sunday, 3 June – Canonisation Day: Canonisation Mass starts at 10am. Access for registered pilgrims holding a (free) ticket starts at 8am. At 5pm there will be concelebrated Mass, presided over by the Postulator, at the Church of San Andrea della Valle (Corso Vittorio Emanuele) especially for priests who do not concelebrate in the morning. Everybody is invited.
Monday, 4 June: Thanksgiving Mass at St Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican at 11am.
