Dial-It Call centre aims to expand operations

Malta Independent Tuesday, 29 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

“A company that has managed to find ways and means of expanding from 40 employees to the present 500 employees, and with projections for further expansion, is an example of success,” said David Casa MEP during his visit to the Dial-It call centre yesterday.

The visit was one of a number the Nationalist MEP will be making this week as part of his constituency week programme.

Dial-It call centre forms part of the Maltacom Group. The company was launched as Telepage Ltd back in April 1995 and provided a paging service. In 2000, it embarked on a new strategic direction and entered the call centre industry. Thanks to the ability and professionalism of both the management and its employees, the company has become firmly established and remains the largest call-centre in Malta.

“Our plans aim to reach a workforce of 1,200 employees. Our aim is to provide a quality service that assures us of attracting more contracts,” said Dial-It CEO Antoine P. Portelli.

“Providing flexible jobs such as the ones being provided by Telepage Ltd is catering for the reintegration into the workforce of everyone. Social sectors such as women and students are given the opportunity to work and gain experience, with the possibility of building a career,” he said.

The company aims to acquire new premises by mid-2008. This would mean an increase in seating capacity and the facilities provided both to customers and to employees, with plans targeted at women returning to the workforce.

Mr Casa also visited the Park of Friendship in Marsascala yesterday.
