An exhibition about the Blessed Gorg Preca is open for viewing at St Vincent de Paul residence for the elderly, put on by the staff and residents of Loreto Hall there. It can be viewed every day until 8 June between 10am and 7pm.
The exhibition was declared open by Mrs Kate Gonzi, in the presence of Victor Delicata, superior-general of the MUSEUM Christian doctrine society, which Dun Gorg founded, and the general superior of the women’s section, Ms Phyllis Falzon. Those present included Health Minister Louis Deguara, Parliamentary Secretary Helen D’Amato and members of Dun Gorg’s family.
During the viewing, a film of the funeral of Dun Gorg in Hamrun will be shown.
Mrs D’Amato praised the commitment of the staff for putting on the exhibition and pointed out that there were residents at St Vincent de Paul who had met Dun Gorg and sought his advice. Most of the elderly at the residence, she said, had lived at the time of Dun Gorg.
