Nature Trust (Malta) has condemned the recent attack by vandals on the tamarisk trees planted in Dwejra Heritage Park over a month ago in a joint venture with the 34U campaign and San Lawrenz local council.

On Saturday night, most of the trees that had been planted were either stolen or vandalised.

Planting of the tamarisk trees was part of the conservation project activities under the LIFE programme for Dwejra to restore the area and mitigate some of the effects of the quarrying activities in the area.
