Malta Independent Thursday, 31 May 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Primary and secondary school students forming part of the Seventh College (Mosta, Gharghur, Naxxar, Mellieha and St Paul’s Bay primary schools and the Naxxar and Mosta secondary schools) have taken part in a competition in creative writing.

The aim was to instil a better sense of identity within the college. The students were asked to write poetry and essays in Maltese and English on the theme “Colour, cut, create”. In all, 2,100 students took part.

The Education Department permanent secretary Frans Borg said that although the college system is still in its infancy, it is already functioning well and such activities continue to make it stronger.
