Basketball referee Emanuel Mangani is now a FIBA international commissioner after passing his examinations, during a FIBA clinic held last week in Munich, Germany.

Despite our limitations, Malta can now boast of two international commissioners, the other being Leonard Falzon, also a referees’ instructor.

In the meantime, FIBA chose international referee Gordon Barbara to attend a seminar for prospective international referees to be held in Gran Canaria, Spain.

Barbara will thus be included in the FIBA referees’ pool for future appointments.
