The police were called out to two minor fires last night, the first occurring at 3.20 in the morning at Fishermen’s Wharf, Marsaxlokk. A boat was found to be on fire, which was controlled by the Civil Protection Department staff.
Then at about 4.40am the police were informed that a car was on fire in Horatio Nelson Street, St Paul’s Bay. Again the Civil Protection Department controlled the blaze.
No one was injured.
