The Ministry for Investment, Industry and Information Technology said it has received six applications from monti stall holders offering their licence voluntarily.

The government has an agreement with the Union Haddiema Maghqudin, which represents the stall holders, under which applicants giving up their licence would be paid Lm10,000 each, after the necessary verifications by the Trade Division.

The ministry said the government would not be transferring the licences to others.
