Damian Ebejer will be exhibiting his sixth solo exhibition, A Tale of Consequent Parallels at Gallery G between tomorrow and 22 June.

Mr Ebejer presents us with an interesting collection, which features some of his recent paintings as well as some earlier works. It also features some life-size samples and photographic reproductions of his ceiling and mural artistic renderings. This unique collection succeeds in demonstrating the various disciplines that the artist has mastered over the past 13 years – since his first exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts in 1994. Damian Ebejer does not look upon this exposition as retrospective; rather he considers it a stepping-stone to the next phase in his life.

Damian Ebejer has always been tantalised by art. His father, the late Francis Ebejer was a well-known playwright and novelist. His mother, Patricia was a professional pianist. Therefore, Ebejer was surrounded by the arts as an infant and from an early age, showed strong signs of having inherited this artistic talent. He would find solace by gazing at paintings from the great museums around the world. He would lose himself in his father’s considerable collection of art books. Always encouraged by his parents, Damian published a small collection of poems which he had written in his early teens. He also demonstrated musical prowess when he played lead guitar for a blues band in the 70s.
