One of the government’s priorities is to embellish the squares of Malta’s towns and villages, Resources and Infrastructure Minister Ninu Zammit said yesterday when he visited workers employed on the embellishment of St Sebastian Square in Qormi.
The work on the square started in April and will be concluded next month. This includes a new lighting system that will enhance the beauty of the church, the minister said.
Similar work has been carried out in Mqabba, Zabbar, Fgura, Balzan and in front of the other parish in Qormi, the one dedicated to St George. Other work is being done in San Gwann and Qrendi.
