The UK passenger transport group Fraser Eagle has just launched an on-line application known as Beagle to better the management of their rail replacement service operations.

The solution was developed in Malta by a team from Crimsonwing Solution Centre, consisting of the bespoke IT Operational System developed in .NET and Microsoft ERP – Dynamics AX.

In 2006 Fraser Eagle decided to completely replace their IT systems onto Microsoft technology. Their solution of choice was Microsoft ERP – Dynamics AX, the ERP application specifically designed to help companies improve sales, finance, project management, and other business operations.

Established in 1919 as a local Lancashire coach firm, Fraser Eagle is today one of the most dynamic groups of companies in the travel, transport and passenger management sector. From its early origins as a local coach tour operator, Fraser Eagle has grown and diversified to become a multi-million pound group of companies. Today, Fraser Eagle is the largest supplier of managed transport services to the UK rail industry. Using their nationwide database of over 5,000 coach and taxi operators, with more than 270,000 taxis and 60,000 coaches, Fraser Eagle transports thousands of people on a daily basis.

Crimsonwing adopted the use of an iterative process – maintaining constant contact with the users for valuable feedback. The team was flexible enough to also cater for new business processes that were not originally specified. Crimsonwing provided the full range of .NET and Dynamics AX based IT consultancy services, and its extensive experience in the implementation and integration of large enterprise IT systems, gave Fraser Eagle a strong starting point while implementing Beagle and Microsoft Dynamics AX.
