Oil and gas exploration company Mediterranean Oil & Gas said the gas resource estimates at its Ombrina Mare field and Guendalina gas field offshore Italy have been increased.
The company said it has established gas contingent resources from the Ombrina Mare permit of 132 mln standard cubic metres (MMscm) and high estimate gas contingent resources of 263 MMscm.
Previously no gas contingent resources from this permit were accounted for in the company’s portfolio, it said.
Mediterranean Oil & Gas said the gas reserve estimates on Guendalina gas field, in which it owns a 20 per cent interest and is operated by Italian firm ENI, has been raised to 790 MMscm from the previously stated 655 MMscm.
The acquisition of about 1,000 kilometres of 2D seismic in Area 4 off-shore Malta is on schedule, it added.
