Ryanair, Spain’s largest low fares airline, has announced a new route from Malta to Barcelona (Girona) now on sale on www.ryanair.com. This new route will start in October when Ryanair increases its Barcelona based aircraft from seven to nine.

Announcing the new route, Ryanair’s sales & marketing manager for Southern Europe, Bridget Dowling said: “Ryanair’s existing routes to Dublin, London and Pisa have proven hugely successful as has the recently announced route from Malta to Bremen. We are delighted to announce a fifth route to Barcelona (Girona) which will operate three times a week from 30 October. We expect to carry 40,000 passengers on this route in the first year of operations.”
