The Palace’s New head chef

Joseph Xuereb has recently been appointed executive head chef of The Palace, Sliema.

Mr Xuereb comes to The Palace with a vast curriculum, which incorporates experience locally and abroad. He has worked in leading local five-star hotels as well as in prestigious hotels abroad, such as L’Horizon Hotel in Jersey and the Savoy Hotel and Selfridges in London.

Mr Xuereb’s creative talents in food preparation have also led to his successful participation in many gastronomic competitions. To date, he has won many awards including eight gold medals, eight silver medals and one bronze medal.

The new executive head chef will be assuming control of The Palace’s three quality restaurants – The Tabloid, TemptAsian Lounge and The Talk of the Town café.

The hotel’s main restaurant, The Tabloid, will be serving a selection of five-star buffets, set menus and à la carte, catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as functions. TemptAsian will be bringing together a fusion of Japanese, Chinese and Thai cuisine, including popular items such as sushi and sashimi. The Talk of the Town is a bistro/café serving grills and snacks.
