My wife and I have been having holidays twice a year for the last 15 years in Malta and have enjoyed them until our last one – last month.
The reason for my concern is the amount of dog excrement on foot-paths, in the gardens and on the beaches where people are trying to put their towels down.
This was especially so in the Sliema area, where we were staying.
Do the owners of these dogs have no pride in Malta? My wife and I were disgusted by this filth and so were many holiday-makers that I spoke to.
If Malta wants to become a thriving tourist haven it will have to educate the dog owners how to clean up after there animals.
