A quartz glass-making company, Raesch Quarzglass (Malta) has celebrated 10 years of operations in Malta, where it employs 70 at the Mosta Techno Park.

Its investment has helped the Maltese economy’s expansion, Investment, Industry and Information Technology Minister Austin Gatt said. Raesch exports 20 per cent of its production to Japan and 10 per cent to the US.

The company’s presence here also reflected Malta’s economic transition, with high-end manufacturing now replacing the low-end process.

The company’s owner, in his meeting with Dr Gatt, said the company’s new investors were thinking of expanding in Malta.
