Our seas and oceans are remembered on an international level on the World Ocean Day, celebrated on 8 June, stressing that our blue planet needs greater care and management for our collective sustainable future.

To celebrate this day, BICREF has launched its new website which will feature many more items related to our sea, coast and natural environment for the benefit of all. BICREF has from its very start, focused local attention on our seas and the need to research, assess, monitor, manage and conserve our marine biodiversity and while controlling human activities and their impacts. BICREF will also be involved in delivering talks on various marine-related topics that will be of interest to all those who have the sea at heart or who have not had the chance to discover the importance of our seas.
