Writing in these columns last February, I ended one of my letters about the Water Services Corporation and the certainly defective water system in Ruzar Mizzi Street thus: “the system has never been replaced (as promised) and work on the street is well under way. Leaks can still be seen in more than one place and if the surface of tarmac is laid it will certainly have to be dug up again in matter of months.”

Today, three to four months later, they can start digging up the freshly laid tarmac. This time I am not reporting the leak to the WSC as I did in the past because I do not want their PRO to think that I have nothing else to do except to report leaks.
