Small Nations Games: Sailing: Ella Fleri Soler And Thomas Zammit Tabona win their class

Ella Fleri Soler and Thomas Zammit Tabona won their respective class race yesterday, but all the sailors were frustrated after another day where there was a lack of wind.

Only one race was held yesterday in all classes - the fourth in the series.

In the meantime, Benji Borg , despite finishing third in yesterday’s race, still maintained top place in the Laser Radial Men’s class. He has now lost a total of eight points after four races in which he has placed second twice, first and third.

In the same class, Simon Aquilina is fifth with 21 points and Christophe Podesta is eighth.

In the Laser Class for women, Maya Podesta is in fourth place with 19 points. So far she has placed 3rd, 8th, 3rd and 5th.

In the Optimist Class (women), Ella Fleri Soler is now occupying second place after yesterday’s win. So far she has placed 5th, 4th, 2nd and 1st and has amassed a total of 12 penalty points. Abigail Fenech is in sixth place with 22 points.

In the men’s Optimist Class, Sean Borg is in second place with 14 penalty points after yesterday’s race in which he finished fifth. In the previous three, he placed first twice and seventh.

Yesterday’s race was won by Thomas Zammit Tabona who is now in seventh place with 26 points, two places behind Gabriel Pace, who is in fifth place on 22 points.
