Christopher Grima presented his credentials as Malta’s Ambassador to Austria to Dr Heinz Fisher, President of the Federal Republic of Austria, at a ceremony at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna on Monday.

During a meeting after the presentation, President Fischer and Ambassador Grima acknowledged the strong bilateral relations that exist between the two countries as well as the collaborative role played by the two countries as members of the European Union.

Both the Austrian President and the Maltese Ambassador recognised the potential for a further increase in trade and investment between the two countries for their mutual benefit.
