A Dance Conservatoire is being set up, aiming to help students develop their talent by attending lessons in the afternoon. The intention is to provide sponsored teaching and raise the level of dance in Malta.

Announcing its setting up, Tourism Minister Francis Zammit Dimech said classic dance in Malta went back almost 100 years. Students have reached high levels and have studied abroad. The next step is to have a dance conservatory.

Dr Zammit Dimech congratulated Johane Casabene, the person behind the idea.
