As you read this today, the Packer super yacht Arctic P is steaming across the Mediterranean to the south of France.

Australian media spies spotted the former icebreaker, ranked 30th among the world’s biggest private yachts, in Malta earlier this week.

For the past few months it had been moored off Male in the Maldives, where it hosted Tom Cruise and his bride Katie Holmes on their honeymoon last November after their lavish Italian faux wedding (already married, it was a party – not a ceremony).

The luxury ship is due on the Cote d’Azur any day and is likely to be the venue for James Packer and Erica Baxter’s very intimate wedding ceremony. It was reported a small group would attend the ceremony, mostly family and the couple’s inner sanctum, before joining the rest of the wedding party at what is being billed as a Battle of the Ballgowns reception.
