Jacob’s Creek Wins Gold

Malta Independent Friday, 15 June 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Australian winemaker Jacob’s Creek has recently picked up a prestigious gold medal for its Chardonnay 2006 in the 2007 edition of Le Challenge International du Vin.

With over 30 years’ experience, Le Challenge International du Vin is the biggest French international wines competition and one of the most famous wine events in the world. 30 countries are represented in this competition each year, with roughly 5,000 samples tasted at each edition.

“A gold medal for an Australian Chardonnay from a French competition is high praise indeed, although it comes as no surprise to those who know the dedication to quality that the team of wine makers and viticulturalists of Jacob’s Creek put into this wine,” said Mr Pierre Stafrace, general manager at A. Caruana and Sons Limited.

Jacob’s Creek wines are imported, marketed and distributed in Malta by A. Caruana and Sons, a subsidiary of The Farsons Group of Companies.
