For the first time in Malta, a Championship Breed Show CAC was organised by the German Shepherd Dog Association under the auspices of The Malta Kennel Club and FCI (Federation Cynologique Inernationale). It was held at the Ta’ Barka Stables, Maghtab, with judging by Mr Tom Kankkonen from Finland, who is an international breed judge specialising in german shepherd dogs. Thirty dogs participated and all received a commemorative medal. The awards were presented by Mr Michael Connolly – director of Connolly’s Redmills, who were the official sponsors of this event – and Mr Tom Kankkonen. The top awards were as follows: Best GSD Puppy 2007 - Bruwen Danko owned by Messrs. Pace M. & Palmier M.

Best GSD 2007 - Bruwen Chelsea owned by Messrs. Pace M. & Falzon F.

Best GSD Opposite Sex 2007 – Della Loggia Di Damarete Arwen owned by Mr Luigi Cacciatore.

Best GSD Handler 2007 – Mr Daniel Casha.

In conjunction with this event a half–day seminar about german shepherds was organised at the Green Grove in Swieqi by Mr Tom Kankkonen and Mr Michael Connolly, who spoke about the Leader Range nutrition. Connolly’s Redmills – Leader Range is represented in Malta by Nicholas Cassar Ltd of St. Venera.
