Godwin Montanaro, Malta’s non-resident ambassador to the State of Kuwait, presented credentials to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on 5 June. He was then introduced to various ministers and deputy ministers.
Ambassador Montanaro conveyed to His Highness and the people of the State of Kuwait sincere greetings and good wishes from President Edward Fenech Adami, the government and the
people of Malta.
At a short meeting with the Kuwaiti President and other government officials, the Maltese ambassador said he would strive to further improve the longstanding good relations between the two countries. Topics discussed focused on trade, investment opportunities, health, tourism and Malta shipyards. There was also positive interaction on the subject of education and the University of Malta.
His Highness the Amir offered his full support and cooperation in the enhancement of bilateral relations and asked the ambassador to extend best wishes to President Fenech Adami, Prime Minister Gonzi and the friendly people of Malta.
