For the fourth consecutive year, the Nazzarenu Youth Group together with Fr Charles Tabone will be going to Albania to assist youngsters coming from poor families. The scope of this mission is that this youth group gives joy to these kids at the same time showing them how big God’s love is. During the 15 days spent in Albania, the group will be meeting approximately 400 boys and girls between the age of three and 18. Presents such as sweets, soap, tooth brushes and tooth paste will be given to the kids apart from other things which are suitable for their education.
All this is possible thanks to the great help of the Maltese who donated things that will be given to the Albanian kids and who sent an SMS worth Lm1 on 5061 7374. This number is still active and anyone who has yet not given his contribution may still do so. A fund-raising car wash was also organised as well as monthly parties at Lo Squero in Valletta, the last of which will be held this Friday 22 June.
Today is also the last day of a book sale that is being held at the Deporres Hall in Sliema (next to Burger King) until 8.30pm. Every Lm1 spent to
purchase books will sponsor an Albanian kid’s entrance to a water fun park.
