Darren Vella was the overall winner of the Grezzju Agius Skeet Challenge Trophy, organised yesterday by the Malta Shooting Sport Federation at its ranges in Bidnija.

The competition was held over 50 clays, with the top six shooters qualifying for a barage final of another 25 clays. Vella hit 47 clays in the first round and another 21 in the barage final to top the list with a total of 68 clays.

Joe Muscat placed second hitting a total of 65 clays, three more than Max Fenech who finished third. Fourth place went to Silvio Attard (59 clays), followed by Elenio Mifsud (58) and Robert Mula (57)
