Foreign Minister Michael Frendo held talks with his counterpart, Cypriot Foreign Minister Yiorgos Lillikas, when he was in Cyprus accompanying President Eddie Fenech Adami. Cyprus is backing Dr Frendo’s candidature for Secretary General of the Commonwealth.

Minister Frendo, who is also chairman of the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group on the Harare Declaration, proceeded to Pakistan where he met his counterpart, Foreign Minister Mian Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri and also had a meeting with President Pervez Musharraf at the Presidential House in Islamabad.
