In spite of several reminders regarding a promise made over a month ago for a plausible explanation from the only (hard-worked?) officer in charge of Customer Care at Air Malta, to date, I have not received any justification regarding the price of an Air Malta flight Malta-Paris-Malta advertised and confirmed at Lm150, which was then immediately changed to Lm184 when I requested Air Malta to issue a totally separate ticket for an Air France flight Paris-Strasbourg-Paris.
While a reasonable commission (as charged by all travel agents) on the Air France ticket issued by Air Malta would be understandable, a Lm34 price hike on the Air Malta ticket costing Lm150 to issue a separate Air France ticket cannot be accepted.
Indeed, I believe it’s a serious abuse and I expect Air Malta to justify the claim by Air Malta Sales Office that such a “policy is established” in its computer system.
