Mr Colin Calleja was confirmed as the President of second division club Sta. Venera Lightnings FC after the club held its Annual General meeting last Sunday and Monday.

The Lightnings’ committee, presided by Colin Calleja, has George Mercieca as the Vice-President, Alfred Scerri who was also appointed as a Council member, and Rennie Briffa were also confirmed as General Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

Johan Mifsud and Johan Vella are to assist the General Secretary. Jesmond Xuereb, Raymond Borg and Michael Zammit were appointed as assistant Treasurers, while Kevin Aquilina, Joe Darmanin and Gary Mercieca will also form part of the 12-man committee

In his first comments Colin Calleja said he was very happy for his confirmation as president of the club and would like to thank all Sta. Venera Committee and that he is confident of another successful season for the club in the second division.
