The Armed Forces of Malta’s Air Wing’s Alouette rescue-helicopter, callsign “Alpha-Sierra One-Two”, was called to assist in the casualty
evacuation (CASEVAC) of an individual from the outskirts of Zebbug, Gozo, in an
area known as Ta’ Kuljatt, yesterday.
The area proved inaccessible to Police and CPD rescue personnel on the ground, and the AFM helicopter was used to transfer the casualty to Craig General Hospital.
No other details about the circumstances that brought about this CASEVAC operation, or about the person involved, were released.
