The police arrested a 22-year-old man from Cospicua after finding drugs that were ready to be trafficked in a Marsascala apartment.

The police said that after weeks of investigations, it emerged that drug trafficking was taking place from an apartment in Sliem Street. On Wednesday morning, members of the Police Drug Squad searched the residence where they found half a kilogramme of cannabis resin ready to be sold.

The police also found other items related to drug trafficking.

The 22-year-old, who is from Cospicua but lives in Marsascala, is expected to be arraigned shortly.

Magistrate Antonio Mizzi appointed several experts to help him draw up a report.
