The female national team will get its first international experience outside our shores in the Teramo international tournament being held between 3 and 10 July in Italy.
It will be a wonderful experience for the Maltese contingent under the guidance of Orlando Bonnici and it will surely be a perfect test for the girls to see if they are prepared to take part in the EHF Challenge Trophy.
Preparations are in full swing and the team is working hard to achieve the goal of a win in Teramo. Every member is aware that it will be a hard task to accomplish but the girls will not give up. Only 14 players out of the 25 chosen by Bonnici will make it to Teramo and there is a fierce, though healthy, competition between the girls.
Together with the team there will also be Thomas DeGiorgio and Stefan Desira, who will be officiating some games there. This experience will prepare them for the Challenge Trophy, being held in Scotland the coming October where they should officiate some games thanks to the EHF promising referees scheme.
