Birkirkara have remained active in this summer's transfer market with a report that they are close to signing two new foreign players.
After signing Kenneth Spiteri, Emil Yantchev and Paul Fenech earlier this week, it was known yesterday that the club was on the verge of agreeing terms with a Bulgarian striker and a Danish central defender.
A top Birkirkara official said an agreement with the two foreigners, whose names are still unknown, was well in sight.
He described the Danish defender as strong and very interesting while adding that the Bulgarian striker had shown a lot of promise during training sessions in the past few days.
