Qormi Youth Nursery have just returned from a visit to their new Scottish partners, Mossend FC, where they took part in an Youth football festival while the kids got the opportunity to train with former English football star and ex national team player, Kevin Keegan.

Mossend Football Nursery proved to be excellent hosts and welcomed the entourage warmly. A total of 68 persons comprising parents and kids took part in a busy and enjoyable agenda to the satisfaction of all those present.

Qormi played a number of friendly matches and participated in Mossend football festival, where they placed third, while Iven Zammit won the Best Player Award from his age group.

The youngsters and their relatives had the opportunity to visit Hampden Park Stadium and Museum, as well as various other interesting sites in Glasgow.

Entertainment was excellently organised between the two nurseries and the kids enjoyed themselves at Scotland Theme Parkthe and Runamock Soft Ball and various play areas scattered around the town of Motherwell. Mossend FC also organised a superb dinner party to the delight of adults and kids alike.

A highlight the kids won’t certainly forget was the two hours they passed training with Kevin Keegan at the Soccer Circus in Braehead, Renfew. The kids had the opportunity to train with Mr Keegan and to challenge each other using the latest technologically interactive equipment.

Qormi Youth Nursery thanked their fantastic hosts, Mossend Football Nursery, for making their visit to Scotland a memorable one.

They also thanked the office of the Member of the European Parliament, Joseph Muscat, which made contacts and linked the two nurseries together with a view to organising more projects even within an EU context.
