Works have started on schedule for the resurfacing of the Centenary Stadium in Ta’ Qali. The works, entrusted to John G Cassar Ltd in collaboration with Polytan, a German Company, will involve removing the current surfacing and replacing this with underlay and artificial turf. The deadline to finish the works is 14 July.
Polytan surfaces boast certificates confirming compliance with the exacting standards of all major international sports governing bodies, including FIFA, UEFA, IAAF and FIH, and have repeatedly demonstrated their continued suitability and durability in numerous field tests at the very highest levels.
The co-operation between the two companies has to date resulted in the installation of two 5-a-side pitches at Melita Youth Nursery in Pembroke, and three 5-a-side pitches at Floriana FC Grounds.
Once the installation of the Centenary Ground is finished, works will start on the installation of a full size pitch at Melita FC Grounds.
