President Eddie Fenech Adami and Mrs Fenech Adami yesterday concluded their official visit to Kercem.

Dr Fenech Adami visited the football nursery, a bocci centre and the San Girgor Band Club. He also met lace-maker Angela Cardona and sculptor Joe Spiteri.

Together with mayor Joseph Grima, the President also met Mgr Nikola Vella, who served the village as parish priest.

Mrs Fenech Adami, accompanied by councillor Antoinette Borg, visited a number of families and Carmelite nuns.

The visit ended with a visit to the local council premises.
