Fifty-one beauties from the four corners of the world have congregated in Malta this week for the fifth edition of the World Bikini Model International ’07 and Miss European Tourism ’07 competitions.

Contestants, who also include one Maltese participant, will be vying for some 15 prizes up for grabs in what is expected to be a gala final evening tomorrow, against the elegant backdrop of the Dragonara Casino.

Organisers Catwalk Promotions yesterday promised an evening of entertainment and fun, with a three-hour show being compered by Moira Delia and DJ Pierre Cordina.

The evening, in addition to the bikini model contest, will also feature a host of guest singers and entertainers, fashion spots, hair and fashion shows – plus a laser and light show put on by Nexos Lighting.

This year will mark the fifth year running that the contest has been held in Malta.

The competition is being sponsored by the Dragonara Casino, the Malta Tourism Authority, Meli Car Hire, Zarb Coaches, the Dolmen Hotel and the Waterline Restaurant in Marsascala.
