Government department employees in the social work class have been instructed by the Union Haddiema Maghqudin from today not to use the telephone, mobile phone, email, internet or faxes.

The union is in dispute about several anomalies which it says exist in their service. There was also delay in negotiating a sectoral agreement for social workers, the union said.

It said it had for several months been complaining with the management and personnel office of the Office of the Prime Minister about the anomalies. But in spite of several meetings no request was accepted by the government side.
