In line with its corporate rebranding, GO – the amalgamated company bringing together the former Maltacom, go mobile, Maltanet and the newly acquired Multiplus – opened its new flagship store in Birkirkara yesterday.
The Psaila Street store is unique in Malta in that it sells all four, quadruple play, services offered by GO: fixed line and mobile telephony, broadband internet and digital television.
Speaking yesterday, GO chairman Sonny Portelli observed: “This outlet reflects our new personality – contemporary, dynamic, friendly and fresh. We are Malta’s only quad-play provider, and from this place our customers can experience all our services and products. Our identity truly reflects our objective of converging our businesses from an operational as well as a customer point of view.”
Investments, Industry and Information Technology Minister Austin Gatt, who was also present at yesterday’s opening, congratulated GO for “having done a great deal with Maltacom.
“The rebranding exercise is the visible part of a series of changes that the organisation has gone through, and is still going through, to ensure its long term
sustainability,” Dr Gatt added.
“The investment in a new brand, coupled with the continued investment in the networks, technology and the people behind the technology, augurs well for GO.”
Competitiveness and Communications Minister Censu Galea, also on hand for yesterday’s opening, commented: “Apart from the inherent attractiveness of this outlet, the most important aspect is the way the customer is welcomed and provided with the service. I congratulate GO for being one of the first telecoms companies to implement such a concept store.”
Referring to GO’s recent rebranding exercise,
company CEO David Kay explained: “The new brand has brought about a new vigour for this company – the employees, customers and shareholders have welcomed it. Now we have to make sure we live up to our promises and deliver.”
Mr Kay also hinted that GO customers could expect a number of promotional offers at the Trade Fair, which opens today.
