A man died tragically yesterday evening in a traffic accident in Senglea.
In a statement late last night, the police said that the accident occurred at around 9.30pm in Victory Street, when a car and a route bus collided.
Members of the Civil Protection Department were called to the scene to free the car driver from the wreckage, but he had died on impact.
The police said they had no further details about the victim and neither did they know if the bus driver had been injured.
Duty magistrate Silvio Meli appointed various experts to help him draw up the magisterial enquiry.
