After reaching its target of retaining its place in Basketball’s Top Division, the Floriana Basketball Club has thanked all those who supported the team throughout its journey, namely ‘Sports Experience’ of Pitkali Road, Attard – the Technical sponsor and ‘Charles Micallef Swimming Pools Ltd.’ – The team’s sponsor.

The committee would also like to announce that in the occasion of its 30th anniversary, in conjunction with the Floriana Local Council, the club will be organising “Basketfest Floriana”.

It will be a basketball event open to all. On the day there will be shooting competitions for the general public, mini-basket tournaments and exhibition matches between the Senior national team and the U18 national team.

This event will be held today from 6pm onwards. Courts will be mounted for the occasion, next to the Granaries in Floriana in front of St Publius Archipretal Church. Everyone is invited to attend.

The club has also announced that it will be reopening its basketball nursery. Anyone wishing to form part of the nursery may call the coordinator on 99459766.
