The seventh book published by the Fond ghall-Kittieba tal-Malti (Fund for Maltese Authors), has been officially launched by APS Bank and is available in bookshops in Malta and Gozo for the price of Lm2.50/EUR5.83.

The Fond ghall-Kittieba tal-Malti provides financial assistance to help Maltese authors publish their works. The Akkademja tal-Malti cooperates by providing advice on the technical aspects and literary values of the works presented for such sponsorship.

The tragi-comedy En attendant Godot - Sa ma jasal Godot, was published in 1952 and presented for the first time on stage at the Théâtre de Babylone, Paris, in 1954.

This play has been translated into Maltese by Toni (Anthony) Aquilina, senior lecturer at the University of Malta Junior College, where he is a lecturer in French language and literature.

Sa ma Jasal Godot - En attendant Godot forms part of the theatre of the absurd and to date, it has been translated into many foreign languages. This edition by Aquilina is the first trans-lated into Maltese, on the occasion of the centenary of the date of birth of Beckett in 1906.
