The broadcasting fund-raising marathon Ohloq Tbissima is back. For the fifth consecutive year, planning and activity at Centru Animazzjoni Missjunarja within the Missionary Society of St Paul is in full swing to ensure the smooth running of the 60-hour broadcasting marathon being organised by CAM Productions International, which this year will be broadcasted live on Melita Cable Channel 12 and Education 22, with various transmissions on NET TV, One TV and TVM. One can also view the Marathon live on the Internet via www.di-ve.com.
There will also be various radio links on local radio stations. Again this year, the 60-hour programme will be packed with discussions, prayer, and entertainment for the young and old, including Variety Shows with the participation of the best local talent, quizes, karaoke and more.
The marathon, which will be held at St Joseph Home, Santa Venera, will kick off at 12pm on Friday 13 July. Archbishop Paul Cremona OP together with Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Opposition Leader Alfred Sant will be present at and participate in the opening. The marathon will run on uninterrupted until Sunday 15 July at midnight.
The public is encouraged to visit the yard at St. Joseph Home, St. Venera and enjoy the welcoming and joyous atmosphere, throughout the 60 hours, and should they wish, they can donate their monetary contribution.
The money collected will be distributed to the missions in the care of the Missionary Society of St Paul (MSSP) in Peru, Pakistan, Philippines and St Joseph Home in St Venera, as well as for evangelisation, to help ease the great expenses that the MSSP fathers have to face every day, week, month and years.
