The Ohloq Tbissima marathon will take place between 13 and 15 July in the courtyard of St Joseph Home, Santa Venera. Like in previous years, this event will consist of a 60-hour broadcasting marathon.
Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, Opposition Leader Alfred Sant and Archbishop Mgr Paul Cremona will all be present for the official opening on 13 July at noon.
During the marathon, there will be discussion on current topics as well as features about the missions of the Missionary Society of St Paul in Peru, Pakistan, the Philippines as well as Malta. The varied programme also includes time for prayer, quizzes, games, karaoke and more. There will be entertainment to suit everyone’s taste including three variety shows with the best of local talent, like Nadine Axisa, Chiara, Glenn Vella, Olivia Lewis, Ira Losco, Winter Moods, Priscilla Psaila, Claudette Pace, Eleonor Cassar, Hooligan and many more. These entertainers will participate and help raise funds while entertaining those present in the yard at St Joseph Home in St Venera as well as televiewers. Some of Malta’s best choirs including St Monica Choir, Enkor, Joy Gospel singers as well as a variety of children’s choirs will also take part in the entertainment.
The whole 60 hours will be broadcasted live on Melita Cable’s Channel 12 and Education 22 with various links on NET TV, One TV, TVM and local radio stations.
