The Malta Council for Economic and Social Development met on Monday to discuss the national reform plan for the country in view of the Lisbon Agenda.

The meeting was held after the traditional recess in June, during which month the social partners would be actively involved in meetings abroad.

Monday’s meeting was the first of a series of meetings planned for the council to discuss subjects that were identified by the social partners.

The council will soon be discussing the pre-budget document.
