The Maltese national team yesterday obtained a dramatic 11-10 win over the strong England side at the world championship sin Blackpool, England.

The Malta team was losing the clash 10-7 in the last stages, but the boys won four matches in a row to clinch a very important win. Hero of the Malta side was Clint Azzopardi who won an exciting final match which gave the points to Malta.

Players who scored two victories in this match were Clint Azzopardi, Mario Vassallo, Ivan Rizzo, Iro Vella, Stephen Mangion and Clayton Attard while Kevin Mercieca had one win.

Meanwhile the youth team lost 10-5 against Ireland and 9-6 against Australia.
