A woman was seriously injured after she was hit by a car in Capuchin’s Street yesterday evening at around 7.45pm, police said.
The woman was shopping at a vegetable vendor when a 54-year-old man from Zabbar lost control of the Kia car he was driving and crashed into the parked van, hitting the woman.
The woman was taken to St Luke’s Hospital by ambulance where she was certified to be in critical condition.
Police investigations are still under way.
